The
Bay Area Council is a human rights organization working
on behalf of Jews and members of other ethnic and
religious minorities in the former Soviet Union.
Security:
Protection from anti-Semitism and other forms
of discrimination, advancement of basic conditions
for a civil society (advocacy, human rights, tolerance,
public awareness).
Welfare:
Access to essentials necessary for a healthy
existence (food packages, medical aid, vocational
educating and networking).
Dignity:
Pride in their Jewish heritage and identity
(Jewish community development, advocacy, public awareness,
emigre and local community involvement).
Freedom:
Freedom to emigrate, to rejoin their families,
to live Jewishly (Jewish community development).
